Vice President Business Development
Jody Mahoney is vice president business development responsible for developing current and new Institute sponsors and partners willing to grow with ABI as our programs expand in support of our mission. Prior to joining the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, Jody was senior director international development with TechSoup, a social enterprise based in San Francisco where she was instrumental in developing the corporate and nonprofit partnerships needed for international expansion. Prior to TechSoup, Jody held many and varied business development, partnership recruitment and technology sales positions. Jody holds a BFA from Antioch College and an MFA from Warren Wilson College.
Who Am I?
My passions include international development, pro-poor policy, access of women to technology, equity and microfinance, writing, travel, gardens, advocating on behalf of breast cancer research, teenagers of all shapes and sizes including my son Josh and AFS exchange sons Timo (Denmark), Daniele (Italy), Eduardo (Spain) and AFS daughter Viivi (Finland), London fashion, Les Soldes in Paris, the Pacific ocean, surfing, bodyboarding, my very tall husband Ira, four sisters and assorted nieces and nephews, wonderful friends, Rue de Rosier, New York anytime, the markets of Cairo, Al-Madinah in Tunis, Delhi, jazz in Warsaw, Camden Locke, Kentish Town, Elephant’s Head Pub, Courage Best Bitter, my Welsh Cardigan Corgi, and finally, laughing—lots and lots of laughing.
