Community: Ambassadors
What is the ABI Ambassadors Program?
The ABI Ambassadors are a network of technical women leaders who are passionate about ABI’s mission, engaged in ABI’s programs, and working to improve technical women’s opportunities and impact in their own organizations. Ambassadors represent formal or informal technical women’s groups within their universities, companies, research labs or communities of practice.
What do ABI Ambassadors do?
Ambassadors are volunteers who contribute to ABI impact by:
- Following and sharing ABI news from our e-newsletter and our Facebook page, LinkedIn group or other ABI sources
- Disseminating information on ABI research and programs within their networks
- Providing input to ABI’s program team on the needs of women technologists in their networks
- Participating in ABI programs and/or facilitating the participation of other women from their networks
Benefits of being an Ambassador
Becoming an ABI Ambassador provides access to a network of technical women’s networks and a community of women technologists, decision makers and grassroots diversity champions. Ambassadors have a unique opportunity to share information with ABI and our community. In particular, Ambassadors have the opportunity to support and mentor each other by sharing challenges, lessons learned, and best practices in the care and feeding of their technical women’s networks. Ambassadors connect with each other through a private email alias and LinkedIn group.
